Lemongrass Wedding Inspiration Board
It seems the weather is just playing games with us. One day it is warm and sunny and the next the ground is covered with snow. I am ready for warmer weather and nice spring days and though I am trapped inside with snow on the ground I can still dream right?
The anticipation of sunny days, gentle breezes and new blooms were the inspiration behind this board. I love how it captures the tender touch of an early spring day.
Some elements used when designing this board were subdued yellows, natural linens and cottons, feminine patterns and wispy fabrics.
I think the key to making any wedding look great is using your choice of colors and elements sparingly and intentionally. The beauty will speak for itself, it does not have to be forced. I think this board is a great example of this. The inclusion of yellow is balanced out beautifully with the neutural characteristics of a beautiful flax color as seen in the flower girl dresses, table linens and bridesmaid dress.

Dahlias and Battenburg Inspiration Board
Although an unlikely pair: battenburg lace, dahlias, and a desert scene make a wonderful statement for a spring or summer wedding. When I saw this Rue De Seine dress I fell in love and knew it would be the perfect foundation to a beautiful wedding. So, building off of the stunning floral and amazing background of this photo this inspiration board was born.
A little touch of bohemian, desert style adds to the dreaminess of this board. The florals are kept natural with a lot of movement and do a wonderful job complimenting the array of textures.
I hope this inspiration board sends you off into the weekend with some great ideas and inspiration for your big day!

Peaches and Cream Inspiration Board
Ya'll it is almost spring! Here in the south we are just beginning to see some very small buds coming out on the early flowering trees. I see blue skies sprinkled with the prettiest peach, pink, and white blossoming flowers in our near future and can almost breath a deep sigh of relief as we usher out the cold winter months.
Delicate, dainty and feminine this inspiration board is stunning for an early spring wedding. I love how all of the elements, though small individually, combine together to make a charmingly dramatic impact.

This board is different from any I have shared so far and to be honest I was a little concerned that choosing such bright colors may turn out looking tacky or overdone; but, they didn't. I love how this board brings such modern whimsy yet remains simple and elegant. It serves as a great reminder to make your wedding day your own. It doesn't have to fit into a particular mold to be beautiful and with the right choices and careful planning anything can be achieved.
Here are some of the elements that were used in planning this board, use them to make this look your own:
Colors: Citrus Fruit are the inspiration Tangerine Orange, Grapefruit Pink, Lemon Yellow, and Lime Green with some softer green you would find in mint

Botanically inspired, earthy, and elegant this board is stunning. There is so much to be said for simple beauty and this board captures it all. Alabaster white and ivory backdrops are the perfect palette for all of the breathtaking greens and quietly gives them the applause they deserve.
A simple green ribbon with long streamers, a fresh baguette wrapped with a single sprig of herbs, one piece of vintage green glassware in a cloud of white: these simple pieces make a huge statement and prove that it does not always have to be complicated or over the top to be beautiful.
Make this look your own with some of the following suggestions:
Colors: Shades of Green(from the lightest pastel to the deepest emerald), Alabaster White, Ivory
Elements: Greenery, White Dinnerware, Vintage Glassware, Herbs

Captivating Valentine Inspiration Board
When I was in elementary school my parents started a tradition that followed through to high school, they had flowers delivered to me every Valentine's Day. I remember waiting in anticipation, as I went to my classes, to hear that a delivery was waiting for me in the school office. The hope of what was to come was great: what kind of flower would it be, what color, would there be a balloon (or many balloons), and what would the card say. That tradition built a fond love of Valentine's Day which, of course, was later transferred to my husband.
Valentine's Day is a day for dreamers, for the romantic, and for those who love to love.

Take that love of Valentines Day: the balloons, the flowers, the decorated boxes with little love notes slipped inside and turn it into something captivating. That was the inspiration, for me, behind this board. The idea is the same, but the elements are a little more sophisticated.
Here are some suggested ways to make this look your own.
Colors: Shades of Red from the deepest burgundy to the palest pink, white, cream
Elements: Flowers,"LOVE" in type or on display, hearts, pretty ribbon, lace embellishments,
Flowers: Dahlia's (choose an assortment of large and small bloom size), Peonies, Snapdragon, Tuberose, Spirea, Vernica
Fabric:Taffeta, Lace, Silk Ribbon
Favor Ideas: Shortbread/Butter cookies in a gift box with red and white adornments

Sometimes the most calming and beautiful sight is a winter sky. I love to watch as the blue sky is gently, almost artistically, sprinkled with wisps of white and pink. It relaxes the soul and frees the mind to watch silently as nature slowly creates a masterpiece.
That is the inspiration behind this board: to fashion a tender, feminine wedding environment that focuses on the purpose and meaning of the wedding rather than the event itself. An environment that invites the wedding party and those attending to embrace the beauty around them.
This look has the slightest hint of an English Garden wedding and could easily be adapted, to achieve that look, with the addition of tea pots and beautiful vintage place settings. The addition of more colorful roses and flowers, such as pink and yellow, would also add to the English Garden theme.
Here are some suggested ways to make this look your own.
Colors: Shades of blue ranging from Navy to Light Blue, Creams and Whites, with a tiny touch of pink
Elements: Greenery, Garlands, Linen, Antique Silver, Pale Wood
Flowers: English Ivy, David Austin Roses (Patience, The Generous Gardener, Windermere, English Climbing Roses)
Fabric: Lace, Tulle, Velvet, and Linen
Favor Ideas: Velvet Clutches or Hand Crafted Velvet Notebooks

Chocolate, caramel, ginger, and creme: the holiday season, and all of the baked goodies that accompany it, bring a wonderful sense of comfort and home. They also serve as great inspiration for this board.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a wedding that evokes this sense of warmth and charm? Although easily adaptable to a fall wedding, it is the use of greenery and warm rustic elements that establishes this particular look for a winter exchange of vows.
Here are some suggested ways to get started in making this look your own.
Colors: Brown, Camel, Taupe, Ivory, Cream
Elements: Brown Mercury Glass, Hammered Gold Serving Trays, Gold Candlesticks and Cake Stands, Velvet Ribbon, Rough Wood
Flowers: Bowl of Cream Peony, White Lydia Spray Roses, Ice Cream Hybrid Tea Rose, Lysianthus Buds and Flowers, Scabiosa Seed Pods, White Ranunculus, Evergreen Garlands, Juniper Twigs
Fabric: Velvet, Wool, Cashmere, Lace
Favor Ideas: Wool Hand Warmers, Tree Saplings
