Quenched Thirst
Oh, this summer heat with very small amounts of rain has left our region extremely dry.
The dangerous conditions have caused me to think about my own life and how at times I have felt very dry and fragile.
I know that I am not the only one who has felt this way.
We all, at some point or another, are left longing for more.
Even David, the king of Israel, experienced periods of drought.
In Psalm 63:1 David cried out to God. "Oh God, thou art my God; early will I seek Thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land; where no water is."
Jesus gives us the answer. As we seek to satisfy our deepest longings and thirsts on our own. He tells us in John 4: 13-14 "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
So encouraging to know that we are not on our own!

Just a Swingin'
Angie and I were little girls when John Anderson's {Swingin'} hit number one on the radio.
I remember trying to get our porch swing as high as it could go while singing "Yeah, and we'll be swingin'. (swingin'), Yes, we'll be swingin'. (swingin')" at the top of our lungs...
...When our dad {John Kennedy} started making this porch swing, I couldn't help but let these fun memories flood my mind. He is an amazing craftsman and sells wonderful things out of his workshop.
If anyone in the Northwest Arkansas area would like an heirloom quality swing {or any other custom item} just convo us and we'll get you in contact with our dad!

Baby Steps
Just spent some time catching up on some etsy success newsletters. Wow, I feel like a baby just learning to walk. There are so many great ideas and suggestions and....so little time. It is so hard to choose which ideas will work for {our shop} and which ones won't. I guess time will tell!
Speaking of baby steps....did you know that White Washed Comfort just celebrated our 1 year birthday!!! Just one year ago Amy and I sat down and began dreaming of what we would like to do, what to call our business, and pulled together all of our initial plans to get started. That was such a fun day! We are still dreaming and planning....it is as much fun now as it was then.
