Inspired

Hello friends.  I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend and that you were able to kick off the summer with some fun.  We had a great weekend and I believe even turned over a new leaf for our family.  It has been a very long time since Jason and I have been able to ride bikes at the same time.  Either one of us was pushing a stroller or needed to walk beside one of our little ones who could not pedal as fast as the rest of us.  This weekend we took a long bike ride (and everyone rode their bikes)!  It was a blast.
Another accomplishment this weekend!  It has been about 2 years since I opened up my pinterest account and since then I have accumulated about 875 pins. Sure is a long list of wants, I know.  Now, I am completely aware that there is no way that I will ever purchase, make, or eat all of the things that I have pinned but I have been inspired to put some of those desires into action.  My new goal is to complete 1 project a week.  I will either finish up  a project I have around the house or complete a craft project I have pinned.  I will post the projects on my blog when finished!
Guess what!  I have one to share.

This weekend I finished up making over an outdoor bench that was given to me by my sister.
It sits on the front porch so that I have a nice place to relax, sip on sweet tea, and read the next issue of Country Living while the kids brush up on their bike riding skills.

It started out green, which honestly was not that bad, it just didn't look right next to the color of the house.

I had some great helpers!  We painted the bench Benjamin Moore Hannity Green.

It feels really good to start and complete a project.  I'm looking forward to many more.
Blessings,
Angie

Beach {Living} Exteriors

White Washed Living at it's finest {Pure Relaxation!!!}

We just love Symmetry, even though it typically has a more formal feel...
there is a sense of {order and tranquility to a well organized space}

There is nothing sweeter than a southern porch... well, maybe the sweet tea you'd be sipping here.

Naturally Romantic

The more I look at all of the beautiful {lavender} pictures I am reminded why I love this color.
It is naturally romantic!  Truly, it creates very romantic environments all on it's own.

Look at this table!  I can hardly explain how beautiful this is.

I love the use of this elegant color.  These soft gingham robed jellies were wedding favors.  What a fun idea.  You could also use them for a fun spring brunch.

So fun and inspiring!  It's beginning to look a lot like Spring.

Continuing the {Green} Theme

We are definitely enjoying the {green} inspiration we have found this month.

Here are a couple of really beautiful rooms, both found at Coastal Living
Hope you enjoy!!

Yes, I am completely jealous of the background captured in the windows above.

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Specimen Art

It is always a thrill to find neat, practical, and inexpensive ideas for decorating!

Aren't these first two specimen art ideas adorable?

Want something with a little more sophistication...this is a great idea.  It is simple idea with a  bold statement, how often do you run across something like that?

Do you have any great ideas for fun art?  We would love to hear them.

Dreaming is so much fun!

It is a gloomy, rainy Thursday here in Northwest Arkansas.  This type of weather makes me want to be at home painting or sewing, creating comfy spaces.  Since I can't be doing either of those things right now, I thought I would dream a little.  Dreaming is such a fun part of the process of creating beautiful things and beautiful places.  Let's give it the time it deserves!!

Oh, the things I would love to do to my house.
This is thepleatedpoppy's living room.  I love so many things about her house.  Jason and I took a {blog} tour recently and gained lots of inspiration and ideas for some things we would like to do to our house.  I love the way that she keeps her primary colors light, but adds bursts of color in her accessories.  Also, I need to point out her front door!  Isn't it fun!

Same style, just a different place.  The next two pictures were found at The Lettered Cottage.
Their blog is so fun to peruse.  This talented couple take the most beautiful pictures!

I love to dream about lots of things: vacation destinations, house decorating {obviously}and renovations, the future of White Washed Comfort, my children's future, the future for me and Jason.  What are some things you dream of?
