Seaside Style

To those of you who live near a coast... I am so jealous.  There must be some disadvantages to living near water and sand, but I certainly do not know what they may be.  You will have to enlighten me if you know of any!  Along with the fun in the sun and on the sand what more could there be!  INTERIORS!

The interiors of most coastal homes consist of cool colors that take on the same hues of the sand, water, and foam all paired with splashes of colors that remind you of bright tropical flowers.  It is amazing how something as simple as color can be so calming and refreshing.

Celebrating Memorial Day

So sorry for the lack of posts lately, it has been a very crazy, busy week!  I am extremely excited to have a long weekend ahead.

Amy and I feel so blessed to live in America.  We are thankful for the sacrifices made by so many, in the past and the present, that allow us to enjoy freedom.

For fun, we found some RED inspiration!  These pictures are so timeless and welcome summer perfectly.  Just perfect for Memorial Day weekend when we know some of you will be hitting the lake, going camping, or just hanging out with friends.

Dreaming is so much fun!

It is a gloomy, rainy Thursday here in Northwest Arkansas.  This type of weather makes me want to be at home painting or sewing, creating comfy spaces.  Since I can't be doing either of those things right now, I thought I would dream a little.  Dreaming is such a fun part of the process of creating beautiful things and beautiful places.  Let's give it the time it deserves!!

Oh, the things I would love to do to my house.

This is thepleatedpoppy's living room.  I love so many things about her house.  Jason and I took a {blog} tour recently and gained lots of inspiration and ideas for some things we would like to do to our house.  I love the way that she keeps her primary colors light, but adds bursts of color in her accessories.  Also, I need to point out her front door!  Isn't it fun!
